MY NHRA  EXPERIENCE 2020 Gatornations canceled NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) NO REFUNDS On February 14, 2020 I purchased  tickets for reserved seating for main event  Sunday March 15, 2020. With family coming  to town,  this was a good opportunity to spend quality time with my brother in law. With the date rapidly approaching and my family making travel arrangements who could have ever guessed  that the coronavirus would derail all hopes of an enjoyable  time. Well in hindsight maybe I could have anticipated complications. I kept a close eye on the news for any indication of a change in plans for the race, then on Thursday March 12 the announcement came that the race was canceled.  I understand the risk weather brings to outside events of this nature. But in this case the race was canceled in advance. We all know this was not the fault of the race promoter/organizer, but I paid for entertainment that was never provided. When I called requesting a refund I was told that no refund would be provided. Instead the unused ticket could be used as credit toward a future event. Now I’m MAD AS HELL. Here are my thoughts on the matter: Failure to provide refunds where requested is or should be criminal. I may or may not be available to make the race next year and that should not be my risk. In my case my guest is from out of town. I would be happy to purchase tickets for a future event if my circumstances allowed for it. The (NHRA) National Hot Rod Association is a greedy organization that clearly puts profit first and fan satisfaction dead last. There should be a class action lawsuit to resolve this issue rather than each race fan trying to resolve the problem on their own. For those who want to contact the NHRA directly, good luck, here’s their contact information: Email: nto@nhra.com Phone : 800-884-6472 Otherwise contact Morgan and Morgan at:  Phone: (786) 453-8104 https://www.forthepeople.com
